In order to prepare for the contest, you must gain knowledge of the chosen topic. In an addition to speaking/presenting in front of an audience, you will be tested on your understanding of what you are presenting. You MUST know your material; therefore, you need to devote time to researching the topic and building a solid background before you attempt to present. Knowledge is power! Spend time and become knowledgeable about your topic. It will pay-off and save you the embarrassment of not knowing the answer to questions you will be asked at the conclusion of the presentation.
