CELESTE ISD HOSTS UIL ACADEMIC EVENT

Celeste ISD hosted the elementary and junior high district UIL competition on December 7-9.  Writing events were judged on Dec. 7th, and all district speaking events were held on Dec. 8th at the Celeste First Baptist Church.  The remaining academic contests were held at Celeste High School on Dec. 9th.  School staff, parents, church and community members came together to make the event a huge success!  Volunteers donated homemade goodies and treats of all kinds for the hospitality rooms, cleaned, guided and assisted Celeste ISD staff throughout the three day event.  Many thanks to all of you that gave your time and effort so that our younger students could have a good experience while competing in these academic competitions. Celeste Junior High did very well at UIL this year placing 1st overall.
