ATHLETIC ALL SPORTS BANQUET May 17, 2016

The Celeste High School 2015-2016 Athletic All Sports Banquet was held on May 17, 2016.  Various athletes from each sport were recognized for their sportsmanship, dedication, charity, and athletic achievement. Every year the coaches present a Most Valuable Player for each sport along with fighting heart, offensive, defensive, most improved, and most dedicated award just to name a few.  Scholarship recipients from several organizations were also announced.  Students that achieved all academic honors were recognized for their commitment to their team as well as academics.

Gary Casey received a special acknowledgement for receiving 1^st Team Football and Basketball Academic All-State Team awards by the Texas High School Coaches Association in conjunction with the Texas Army National Guard. 

After announcing his retirement, Celeste High School Athletic Director, Mike Lipsey, received a standing ovation to honor his twenty-four years of service to Celeste ISD.  Coach Demetrius Rector presented Lipsey with a plaque and gave a speech that paid tribute to his years of dedication, meaningful contributions and love for the Blue Devils and the students of Celeste.
