CELESTE FFA HOUSTON LIVESTOCK SHOW RESULTS

Spring break was a busy week for several Celeste FFA students participating and exhibiting projects in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

Koby Brown and Devon Jackson competed in the Houston Livestock Junior Market Broiler Show on March 12th.  With over 250 pens in the competition, Koby and Devon knew the competition would be tough, and it would be difficult to make the sale.  Congratulations to Koby for making the sale with his 40th place broilers.

The Celeste FFA Junior Livestock Judging Team competed in two major contests during the month of March.  Jaycee Brown, Jaxson Dillard and Cassidy Herron evaluated nine classes of livestock and placed 46th out of 115 teams at the San Antonio Livestock Show & Rodeo.  During spring break on March 16th, Jaycee Brown, Britton Evans and Jaxson Dillard competed at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Livestock contest and judged characteristics of animals in eight classes.  They were also asked specific questions to justify their reasons for their placings in each class.  Scores were added up for each individual team member, and together the team placed 35th out of 145 teams in the contest.
