UIL ACADEMIC TEAMS QUALIFY FOR REGIONALS Congratulations to all students and coaches for all their hard work and effort in preparing for the contest.
The Celeste High School Academic teams competed in the Conference 2A District 13 UIL Academics Spring Meet on March 23, 2015. Congratulations to all students and coaches for all their hard work and effort in preparing for the contest. Celeste had several students that qualified for the Region II-2A Spring Meet. Caroline Cairns placed 2nd in Poetry Interpretation. In Prose Interpretation, Celeste swept the contest with Kayleigh Forbes placing 1st, Jordan Compton: 2nd and Lindsay Thompson: 3rd. The poetry and prose teams were coached by Rhonda Hacker and Julie Dillard. Celeste won 1st as a team in the spelling contest which was coached by Crystal Brown. Individual results in spelling are as follows: Gregory Ford: 1st, Gary Casey: 4th, Michala Moree: 6th and Katelynn Clark: 9th. In the News Writing event, Katlynn Trantham placed 6th.
