FFA MEMBERS RECOGNIZED DURING BANQUET The Celeste FFA Talent Team will compete at the 86th Texas FFA State Convention on July 17, 2014.
Celeste FFA Honors Students, Parents and Supporters at its Annual Banquet Celeste FFA held its annual banquet on Tuesday, May 27 in the Celeste High School Dining Hall. This past year has been very prosperous for the Celeste FFA chapter. Many members received recognition for their hard work in the areas of leadership, livestock production and exhibition, career development, and even a state-bound talent team just to name a few! The Celeste FFA Booster Club Vice-President, Shelli Daugherty, announced scholarship recipients. Austin Moore, Nathan Warren, Rachel Myers, Richard Horton and Chris Moore all received scholarships in the amount of $500. The Celeste FFA Booster Club woks diligently throughout the year to help local FFA students by adding money to county fair market projects, travel assistance for FFA sponsored events, and scholarships for graduating FFA seniors. Honorary degrees were presented to Crawford and Theresa Moore and Celeste High School Principal Jerry Card. Honorary membership is given to those who help to advance agricultural education and the FFA and who have rendered outstanding service to the chapter.
Induction of the 2014-2015 officer team was the finale of the banquet.
