CELESTE FFA TALENT TEAM ADVANCES TO STATE!

The Celeste FFA Talent Team won First Place at the Area 5 FFA Convention in Prosper on May 19.

The talent team is a band consisting of members: Austin Gilliam (vocals and keyboard), Abby Collida (vocals), and Kassie Hammack (fiddle and guitar).  The band members have been very dedicated to this project and have spent numerous hours practicing together.  They will go on to compete at the Texas State FFA Convention in Fort Worth this summer.  The team will have the opportunity to perform in front of over 10,000 FFA members and guests at the State FFA Convention. 

On another exciting note, Abby Collida not only performed during the talent contest, but had to quickly switch gears following the talent show to give her Area V Officer Election speech in front of a large crowd.  Abby did an outstanding job, and she will spend the next year representing FFA members as the 2014-2015 Area V FFA Reporter.
