AG MECH TEAM PREPARES FOR SHOWS & AUCTION

Celeste FFA competes at San Angelo Ag Mechanics Livestock Show and prepares for upcoming auction on March 29th.

The Celeste FFA Agricultural Mechanics Team has been busy putting the final touches on their ag mech projects in preparation for show season. The team recently competed at the San Angelo Ag Mechanics Livestock Show with a shop table and a welding trailer. During the competition, the students were interviewed by the judges, and they presented their projects to the public. Both projects received blue ribbons.  The students are looking forward to exhibiting their shop projects at the Houston Livestock Show on March 22nd.

Celeste FFA members are also working industriously to build projects for the upcoming Celeste FFA Booster Club BBQ and auction which will be held on March 29, 2014 this year since the Hunt County Fair has moved to April 29th-May 3rd. Each year the FFA Booster Club holds an auction and BBQ dinner to benefit Celeste FFA students with their Hunt County Fair market projects and scholarships for graduating FFA seniors.  The dinner will be served in the CHS dining hall.  The cost of the dinner is by donation.  The dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the auction will begin at 6:30 p.m. There will also a student cake decorating contest during the auction, so save the date (March 29th), and make plans to attend this grand event!
