January is school board appreciation month, so the administration, faculty, and students at Celeste ISD wanted to express how fortunate they are to have such caring and dedicated members on the Celeste ISD School Board.  Students and principals presented the school board members with gifts to show their appreciation during the school board meeting on January 16, 2014.   Celeste Elementary wrote special letters and created placemats thanking the board for supporting them with technology such as the new computer lab and iPads.  Celeste Junior High School students made goodie bags that included a fortunate cookie (CJHS feels fortunate to have you on the school board), a Mountain Dew (CJHS wants to thank you for all you dew), a cupcake CJHS thinks you take the cake when it comes to being a great school board member) and a Starbucks card (CJHS wants to thank you a LATTE for all you do).  Celeste High School Agricultural Science students, Kassie Hammack and Abby Collida, wanted to show their gratitude for the new shop plasma cutter which they used to create metal personalized name plates for each board member.  The administration, faculty and students sincerely appreciate the commitment and sacrifice that the school board members have made by doing whatever possible to help make Celeste ISD a successful and progressive school district year after year.
