JORDAN WRIGHT HOME PLATE DEDICATION

The Celeste Athletic Booster Club honored the memory of Jordan Wright at a special ceremony prior to the Blue Devils home game against Sam Rayburn on Friday, April 11.

A plaque recognizing Jordan was unveiled during the ceremony at the Celeste baseball diamond. "We're dedicating home plate to him," said Billy Shatto, president of the Celeste Booster Club. The plaque states that Jordan personified what it is to be a Blue Devil. He was courageous, strong, determined, respectful and most of all proud to be a Blue Devil. He was and continues to be a shining example of how to behave, practice, play and live. He will be forever missed by his teammates, friends and mentors. The Blue Devils went on to beat Sam Rayburn by a score of 14-9.
