The Celeste Blue Devils and the Blue Ridge Tigers had a friendly competition to help their communities during football rival week, October 31-Nov. 4.  Each district collected non-perishable food during rival week, and Celeste won!  The Blue Devils collected 2,978 items and Blue Ridge collected 2,100 items.  All the food collected at Celeste ISD will remain in our community and benefit our local food banks.   “Not only did the community win, but we also beat Blue Ridge in the competition,” Celeste High School Cheer sponsor Theresa Moore stated.

During rival week, Celeste students showed their school spirit by dressing up each day of the week.  (Image 7300) On Mix it up Monday, students wore costumes to school, and students were creative on Flashback Friday as many turned out in dress from the 80’s and 90’s.  The high school cheerleaders also had a fun idea to ask for teachers and staff to get involved in flashback Friday by having all former cheerleaders from any high school perform a cheer together during the final pep rally of the year.
