Celeste FFA members spent this past summer learning leadership skills, judging and evaluating livestock and preparing for the year ahead. In June, the 2018-2019 FFA officers attended the Area V officer leadership camp at Texas A&M Commerce. Members spent several days making new friends, learning about being committed to service and learning how to become premier student leaders.
Kambrie Hogue is currently serving as the Celeste Chapter 1st Vice-President as well as the Area V FFA Treasurer. She spent four days at Tarleton State University state leadership camp preparing for the Area V leadership camp. She and the other Area V officers did an amazing job putting on the camp.
Following the leadership camp, several FFA members attended the Texas Tech University Livestock Judging Camp. Students spent three days practicing their evaluation skills and reasons and learning from one of the best collegiate livestock teams and industry professionals in the nation.
The 2018-2019 officer team is very excited about the upcoming school year. With five senior officers, the future looks bright as the officers lead the Celeste FFA into the new school year.
