The Texas Education Agency released the 2017-18 accountability ratings for school districts across the state Aug. 15, and gave Celeste ISD a B for its overall rating.
This report card is designed to tell us how well we are helping students reach grade level and how well we are preparing them for success after high school. Much like the grades we give students, we can use these grades to identify ways to improve over time. The overall grade is based on performance in three different areas, or domains, which are noted below.
Here is how Celeste ISD ranked under each domain:
Student Achievement: B
This rating is based on how much students know and are able to do at the end of the school year. Celeste ISD earned 80 of 100 possible points.
School Progress: B
This rating is based on how students perform over time, comparing their progress to similar schools. Celeste ISD earned 84 of 100 possible points.
Closing the Gaps: A
This rating is based on the performance of different populations of students. Celeste ISD earned 85 of 100 possible points.
