FFA Members Attend State Level Leadership Conference

Celeste High School seniors, Jaxson Dillard and Kambrie Hogue, were accepted to the Texas FFA Executing with Excellence Conference, a state level leadership development training, at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas on January 7, 2019. The students were chosen based on their commitment to apply what they have learned as an FFA member to their post-secondary education or the workforce.  Chosen for their commitment to personal development, FFA sophomores, Kloe Walker and Raegan Sumrow, were also accepted to the sophomore level Texas FFA Made for Excellence Conference.

These FFA members spent the day participating in activities that develop leadership, determine the significance of choices, working as a team, identifying future interests in agriculture, goal setting, and making a plan for their future. The event was an excellent opportunity for students that are interested in pursuing leadership positions above the local level and also to prepare them for scholarship applications and college prep.
