Hicks Makes the Texas Sports Writers Class 2A All-state Football Team!

Celeste senior offensive guard Dylan Hicks recently made the Texas Sports Writers Class 2A All-state Football Team.  At 6’ 1” and 280 pounds, the powerhouse guard led the Blue Devils with over 100 pancake blocks during the 2018-2019 football season!  He was named as the second team offensive guard by the Texas Sports Writers Association.  Hicks and two teammates (Jalen Rector and Kaden Douglas) also made the Honorable Mention Offense Class 2A All-State Football Team by the Texas Associated Press Sports Editors. 

Hicks accumulated 153 pancake blocks, 2 fumble recoveries and 80 solo tackles over his four years on the varsity team.  One thing is for sure, the Blue Devil Family will miss his presence on the field next year.  Dylan will be attending Stephen F. Austin State University in the fall to study forestry.  Congratulations to this standout Blue Devil!
