With a warm smile and a deep passion for education, Erica Waller has spent the past 20 years helping students see the world in a whole new way. A Master Teacher with a heart for community and a love of science, Erica began her career at John H. Guyer High School in Denton ISD. Her journey then took her to Tioga ISD before she found a home at Celeste ISD, where she continues to make a lasting impact.
“I love being a part of the Celeste community,” she shares. “It’s the people I get to work with every day that make it so special.”
As a science teacher, Erica sees her role as more than just delivering lessons—she opens doors to curiosity and creativity. “Teaching science allows me to give students insight into how the world around them works,” she says. “Knowing how the world works opens up creativity, invokes high levels of thinking, and provides students with many different avenues to explore.”
Erica’s dedication goes far beyond textbooks and test scores. Her goal is to instill a lifelong love of learning. “I want students to understand how the world around them works, so that they can be lifelong learners and find wonder in the world they experience in their daily lives.”
In every classroom she steps into, Erica Waller brings not just knowledge, but inspiration—planting seeds of curiosity that continue to grow long after her students leave her classroom.
