Author Dan Gutman Skypes with Elementary Students

Third, fourth and fifth grade students at Celeste Elementary were treated to a Skype author visit with Dan Gutman on Feb. 26, 2020.  Mr. Gutman is the author of the very popular My Weird School and My Weird School Daze book series.  Students seem to connect with Gutman’s hilarious, zany writing style, and they are engaged by his silly, creative nature.  During the Skype session, students were able to ask questions about his life, books, writing, and book characters.  He also gave tips on how kids can write their own stories.

About the Author

Dan Gutman was born in New York City (a very weird place) and raised in New Jersey (even weirder), Dan graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in psychology. He now lives in New Jersey with his weird wife, Nina, and two weird children, Sam and Emma. A favorite among young readers, Dan has won sixteen state-sponsored children’s choice awards for his books. Visit Dan Gutman’s weird website at www.dangutman.com.
