XC Teams Have Impressive Showing at Local Meets

The Celeste Cross Country teams have been very competitive participating in local meets recently.  On Thurs. Oct. 1st, the varsity boys placed first and the varsity girls placed fourth at the Blue Ridge Cross Country Meet.  The boys’ varsity team received the following medals:  2^nd - Jerret Stone, 5^th - Jared Sherwin and 10^th - Grady Ford.

On Sat. Oct. 10^th, Cross Country competed in the Honey Grove Meet.  Despite the foggy weather conditions, both boys and girls varsity teams placed first overall!  The following runners finished in the top ten:

Girls:

3^rd Place Medal - Kyli Melton

6^th Place - Samara Buckley

7^th Place - Allyson McFarland

8^th Place - Kendall Hanson

9^th Place- Alondra Orduna

Boys:

2^nd Place Medal - Jerret Stone

8^th Place - Jared Sherwin

9^th Place - Justin Sherwin

Upcoming XC meets include Commerce Cross Country Meet on Oct. 17 and the District Meet at Trenton on Oct. 28.
