San Angelo Ag Mech Contest

Mr. Steve Wilson, Celeste High School Ag Mech Shop Manager, and FFA members, Waylon Vidler and Brayden Fronterhouse, traveled to San Angelo to compete in the San Angelo Ag Mechanics Show on Friday, February 5, 2021. After months and months of hard work, Waylon competed in the towable smoker division, which is one of the toughest classes in the Ag Mech contest. Waylon received a blue ribbon for his work, notebook, and interview.  His smoker advanced to the final round where the top three smokers are determined. The final round is very competitive as projects can range in price from $100 to over $75,000!  Although Waylon and his smoker did not finish as one of the top three smokers in the finals, the experience gained and accomplishment of making it to the final round is highly commendable!  Celeste High School is proud of the hard work ethic and determination that it took Waylon to get his smoker to the show and receive a blue ribbon!
