Hunt County Fair 2021

Celeste FFA members were very grateful to have the opportunity to participate in the 2021 Hunt County Fair and Livestock Show after the 2020 show was cancelled due to COVID.  It is hard to believe that a year ago, many FFA members were forced to sell off their market animals.  Students felt a heartbreaking loss of all the hard work and time that had gone into their county show projects.  Buying animals for the 2021 show came with a lot of uncertainty as plans for the 2021 show were left to chance.  Aside from the challenges that were presented, numerous FFA members persevered and decided to take that gamble and hold on to the hope that the 2021 show would happen.   Thanks to all of those involved in making the fair happen this year.  Celeste FFA had a very successful week with highlights including Brynn Cummings; Reserve Champion Market Fryers, Madisyn Douglas; Heifer Showmanship Award, Ava Flowers; Intermediate Goat Showmanship Award, Kloe Walker; $1000 scholarship recipient and Raegan Sumrow; $1000 scholarship recipient. Celeste also had many excellent class placings with fifteen animals in the Sale of Champions.  Here are the results:
