Ky Jackson, your 400m TEXAS 2A Silver Medalist!

The UIL State Championship Track and Field meet was held on May 6-8 at The University of Texas at Austin: Mike A. Myers Stadium.  Celeste High School is proud to announce that Zakyrn Jackson ran against some of the best runners in the state of Texas and he won silver in the 2A Boys’ 400m!  “I didn’t get the gold, but I am truly blessed to have had this opportunity to achieve my goal of getting to state.  Winning depends greatly on the mindset that you have, and I was able to push through and get the silver!” stated Jackson.  The boys’ 4x100-meter relay team consisting of Riley Ziminskas, Zakyrn Jackson, Thomas Powell and Tanner Meeks ran their fastest time of the year with a 43.63 to finish eighth in the state relay.
