JH Veterans Day Assembly 2021

Celeste Junior High School Veterans Day Assembly honored members of each branch of the military on Thursday, November 11, 2021.  Blessed with a beautiful fall morning, members of the CJHS Student Council greeted Veterans and their families as they arrived.  Hudson Flud, Levi Gross, Phillip Horton and Jackson Scott proudly posted the Colors to begin the program.  Junior high students paid tribute to their guests with patriotic songs and poems.  MaddieClaire Park, Emily McDaniel, Savana Qualls and Cyrus Ford shared touching family connections and stories of the Veterans in their lives.  Guest speaker, Command Sergeant Major Sam K. Young, spoke of the freedoms that we enjoy and the sacrifices of those who have served in his Veterans Day speech.  Students recognized the six Branches of the Military and recognized the Veteran attendees.  Following the US Army Ceremonial Band version of Taps, Student Council President Joshua Willis concluded the program with closing remarks and invited guests to attend the reception.
