Homecoming King and Queen 2022

Congratulations to the following seniors for being chosen as the 2022 Celeste High School Homecoming Court: Brenden Carter, Preslee Minter, Bryce Welch, Braylee Adams, Michael Connelly, Ally D’Amico, Nolan Blackmon and Paris Walker.  Bryce Welch and Braylee Adams were selected as the 2022 Celeste High School Homecoming King and Queen.  The big announcement was made during the halftime show on Friday, September 30, 2022. 

Homecoming King, Bryce Welch, is the son of Tony and Heather Welch.  Bryce has been a member of the drum corps for 3 years.  He participated in the one act play as the stage manager.  Bryce hopes to attend Reed College in Oregon.  He hopes to have a career in the field of neurology or cardiology.    

Homecoming Queen, Braylee Adams, is the daughter of Ethan Adams.  She has been a member of the drill team for 3 years and is currently a co-captain.  She has played softball and run track for 3 years.  She participated in cross country for a year.  Braylee plans to get the certification needed to pursue a career in medical coding.

Homecoming King Nominee, Brenden Carter, is the son of Curtis and Stacey Carter. Brenden has played basketball 3 years and tennis for 2 years.  He has also played football, golf, and run cross country and track for a year.  Brenden has served his class as the secretary for the past 4 years.  He has been a member of FCA and FFA for the past 4 years.  Brenden wants to attend South Plains College in Lubbock following graduation.  

Homecoming Queen Nominee, Preslee Minter, is the daughter of Jason and Kelly Minter.  She has been a varsity cheerleader and a member of FCA the past 4 years.   She participated in cross country and golf for a year.  Preslee has played basketball and run track for 3 years.  She has been an active member of the FFA for 4 years and is currently the chapter secretary.  Preslee plans to attend Texas Tech University next fall and major in Agriculture Communications.  

Homecoming King Nominee, Michael Connelly, is the son of Brad and Melanie Connelly.  Michael has played on the football team for the past 4 years and a captain this year.  He has played baseball, basketball, golf, and run track for 3 years.  Michael has played tennis for 2 years and was a regional qualifier in doubles.  He has been a member of the FCA and FFA for 4 years.  He currently holds the office of FFA student advisor.  Michael plans to find a university where he can continue playing football.  

Homecoming Queen Nominee, Ally D’Amico, is the daughter of Jeff and Jamie D’Amico. She has played basketball and tennis for 2 years.  Ally also participated in track for 2 years and cross country for a year.  She has been a varsity cheerleader the last 2 years.  Ally has been an active member of Beta club, FCA, and FFA for 3 years.  She is currently serving as the chapter treasurer for FFA.  Ally plans to attend Texas Tech and major in Agriculture Economics and Business Management.  

Homecoming King nominee, Nolan Blackmon, is the son of Glenn and Nikki Blackmon. Nolan has played football for the past 4 years.  He is currently one of the captains on the team.  He has participated in powerlifting for 4 years and track for 3 years.  He is a multi-regional qualifier, placing 3rd in discus and 4th in powerlifting.  Nolan currently holds an electrician apprenticeship license and plans to become a master electrician.  

Homecoming Queen Nominee, Paris Walker, is the daughter of Derek and Lindsay Walker.   Paris has been a varsity cheerleader for 4 years and the captain for 2. She has been class vice president for 2 years and the president for 2 years. Paris has been an active member of the Beta Club for 3 years and the FCA for 4 years.  She has been a member of FFA for 4 years and currently holds the office of chapter president.  Paris plans to attend Texas Tech University and major in Agricultural Science.
