District 2 FFA Convention

The Celeste FFA Chapter traveled to Farmersville to attend the District 2 Convention on April 18, 2024.  Luke Beadles and Daniel Monsolvez competed in speaking events. Luke placed 1st in Soil Stewardship and will be advancing to the area contest on May 4th. Daniel placed 3rd in Extemporaneous Speaking. Maddison Downs was a district officer candidate. She began the process by filling out an application, taking a test and doing an interview, followed by giving a speech in front of a large crowd.  Linda Beth Norwood concluded her year as a District 2 Officer, and Koby Brown recognized Mr. Stephen Dillard with an award from the district association thanking him for his many years of hard work and dedication and wishing him a happy retirement.
