Celeste High School is proud to announce the Class of 2024 Valedictorian Luke Beadles and Salutatorian Koby Brown.
Valedictorian Luke Beadles
In a few short months, Luke Beadles will be calling Lubbock, Texas home. He will be majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Aerospace Engineering at Texas Tech University.
As valedictorian of Celeste High School, Luke is a dedicated individual who remains committed to both his academics and extracurricular activities. Along with being an Honor student and taking dual credit classes through Paris Junior College, Luke is also a NASA Texas High School Aerospace Scholar and has earned his Texas FFA Lone Star Degree. Throughout high school, he has developed his leadership skills by attending several leadership conferences and serving as an officer for FFA, BETA and for his class. Luke has been involved in academic UIL and FFA contests. After qualifying for state in Prepared Public Speaking for two years, placing 3rd and 4th, he hopes to return to the state contest this spring and secure a victory. He has participated in basketball, cross-country, track, and golf. His servant’s heart is obvious in the volunteer work he has done for the school and the community. No doubt, Luke will continue to have a positive impact on the world around him.
Salutatorian Koby Brown
Koby Brown will graduate as the Salutatorian of the Class of 2024. He has excelled in a variety of advanced honors and dual credit courses, consistently prioritizing his academics while being actively involved in a number of extracurricular activities. He is currently serving as the president of student organizations such as FFA, Beta, and the Senior class, as well as serving as an officer for FCA. Koby has also demonstrated his dedication to activities outside of school, participating in events like showing broilers at the Hunt County Fair since the 3rd grade and excelling in Livestock judging competitions at both the area and state levels.
Koby has shown a passion for sports throughout his high school career. He has been a member of the basketball team for four years, earning recognition as 1st Team All District and receiving academic honors the past two years. He has also competed in cross country at the regional level, played baseball, participated in track, and discovered a newfound interest in golf. Koby has been successful in golf, becoming the consecutive District 13-2A champion and competing at the regional and state levels. He aims to continue his success in upcoming tournaments and is open to pursuing golf at the collegiate level if the opportunity arises.
After graduation, Koby plans to attend a four-year university in Texas, where he intends to major in agribusiness/engineering.
