CELESTE ISD TEACHERS ATTEND TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE - February 10, 2016

Several Celeste ISD teachers, administrators and staff joined over 12,000 educators for the TCEA (Texas Computer Education Association) Convention and Exposition on Feb. 1-5. Teachers attended innovative sessions that included ideas and tools to transform classrooms with technology such as Google, iPad, STEM and Microsoft. Teachers were able to learn and connect with other educators across Texas. Celeste ISD teachers Nicole Hicks, Julie Dillard, and Shayla Lewis presented a session on MinecraftEDU in the classroom. During the presentation, the group shared experiences, student expectations and tips for classroom integration. Celeste Junior High student Minecraft projects were showcased to demonstrate the cross-curriculum integration, collaboration, digital citizenship and engagement that makes MinecraftEDU work in education.
