About Me

Education

Educational History:

I graduated from Farmersville High School in 2011. 

I obtained my BA through Texas A&M-Commerce in 2020, and my M.Ed. through Western Governers University. 

Degrees and Certifications:

I hold a Bachelor’s in General Studies through Texas A&M-Commerce and obtained my ELAR grades 7-12 teaching certification through Texas Teachers. 

I also hold a Master of Education, Education Technology and Instructional Design through Western Governers University. 

Professional Development:

Along with general compliance training, I have also completed professional development in GT and Classroom Management Strategies. 

I have attended the UIL Capital Conference. 

Current Position:

I started at Celeste High School August 2021. I currently teach: 

English 1 

Honors English 1 

English 3 

College Bridge 

I am also the UIL Academic Coordintor for the high school. 

 

Previous Position:

Before coming to Celeste, I worked as a Special Education Paraprofessional in Blue Ridge, Tx at the middle school. 

Family Information:

I have been married to my wonderful husband, Anthony, since 2013. We share an 8 year old son together named Wyatt. He attend’s Celeste Elementary School. We also have 3 cats named Flopsy, Sookie, and Scaredy. :)

Personal Information:

Outside of teaching, I enjoy to bake, draw, read, and binge watch the same cycle of shows back to back. I love to travel, and have a high hope to travel more as time permits.
