About Us

Celeste Schools proudly blend a rich tradition of honor, resilience, and excellence with a forward-looking commitment to academic and personal growth. Inspired by the courageous "Blue Devils" of World War I—known for their strength, discipline, and respect—our students embody these values both in the classroom and beyond. We offer a dynamic, innovative learning environment that emphasizes rigorous academics, character development, creativity, and critical thinking. With diverse programs, supportive faculty, and a strong sense of community, Celeste students are prepared not only for success in school, but for leadership and integrity in life.

Celeste ISD Mission

The mission of the Celeste Independent School District is to prepare all students to live and work in an ever-changing society. The school will provide a positive, supportive environment in which all students will acquire a knowledge base on which to build life-long learning. Students who believe in themselves will succeed.

Home of the Blue Devils
The "Blue Devil" mascot was named in 1939 by former Celeste Superintendent J. Garland Roach. Mr. Roach was profoundly influenced by the courage and character of the elite French soldiers known as the "Blue Devils," and chose the name to embody those same qualities in the spirit of Celeste Schools.
