FFA AREA V LEADERSHIP CONTEST RESULTS Celeste FFA Participates in Texas FFA Leadership Development Events.
Members of the Celeste FFA chapter traveled to Krum on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015, to compete in the Area V Leadership Development contest. These FFA students have been working very hard to prepare for this statewide-tournament which focuses on creating situations for members to demonstrate their abilities in public speaking, decision making, communication and their knowledge of agriculture and the FFA organization. Only the top 2 schools in each event advance to the state level. The Senior Chapter Conducting team placed 3rd, and the Junior Chapter Conducting team placed 4th. During the chapter conducting contest, teams conduct a mock chapter meeting to demonstrate knowledge of basic parliamentary law and the use of correct parliamentary procedures. At the conclusion of the meeting, team members are asked questions regarding parliamentary law.
Senior Chapter Conducting Hannah Lipsey was the 7th high individual in the Chapter Agricultural Quiz contest which is an exam that tests team members’ understanding of the FFA, agricultural education, current agricultural events and parliamentary procedure. Congratulations to Celeste FFA for their hard work and dedication.
