FFA MEMBERS COMPETE AT NORTH TEXAS FAIR Congratulations Shayla Daugherty ~ Grand Champion Livestock Judging High Individual
Celeste FFA went to the North Texas State Fair this past Saturday, August 29, to participate in the livestock judging contest. There were 70 individuals in the contest and 22 teams. Our senior team consisted of Shayla Daugherty, Reid Tallant, Abbi Farr, Jaxson Dillard, Sarah Myers, and Kaden Douglas. The team placed 5th out of 22 teams and Shayla Daugherty placed 1st of out 70 individuals. She received awards for being the Grand Champion high individual livestock judger. Celeste Junior FFA members also competed in the livestock judging contest at the North Texas State Fair. Celeste Junior FFA placed 6th overall. Team members were: Justin Richey, Britton Evans, Jaycee Brown, Cassidy Herron, Kloe Walker, Paris Walker, Koby Brown, and Carson Herron. Later that day, Reid Tallant and Abbi Farr participated in the lamb show at the fair.
